Get through the doors if you can! Because Moschino blew up a storm at Tel Aviv Fashion Week -- and we’re not talking about the weather! Join FashionTV as we bring you all the latest fashion news from across the Mediterranean waters,  and head on over to one of the world’s most vibrant cities.

Tel Aviv, Israel is fast becoming a fashion hotspot, with more and more fresh and innovative designers emerging from the Mediterranean coastal city every season. Now in it’s second year, Tel Aviv Fashion Week (TAFW) gives some of the city’s hottest fashion talents the chance to showcase their creations to the world. And naturally, the FashionTV team are at-the-ready to give you, our viewers, the best seat in the house!

You can follow all the action live on Twitter, @FashionTV.

The three-day event kicked-off on Sunday (unusual perhaps, but thats the day working week begins in Israel) at the Old Railway Station -- Hatachana, in South Tel Aviv, with star guests Moschino featuring as the opening runway show, late Sunday night. And the Italian designers brought a riot of colors with them to the runway!

The Swinging Sixties, mod themes, and pop art were the rules of the day on the TAFW catwalk last night, as Moschino took the audience for yet another retro step back in time. The Women’s Ready-to-Wear Collection of A-line minis, flares, and contrast trimmings along pockets and collars, delivered the Edie Sedgwick-esque message in monochrome flair.

And there was no shortage of flower power either, as the black-and-white collection quickly developed into a playful palette of sugar stripe colors, with kitsch prints, embroidery, and floral embellishments dollying-up the models retro looks. Accessories came in the form of Anna Wintour-worthy gold earrings, silver shoes, and the Italian fashion house’s statement sunglasses.

Let’s Get Fresh!

Then came the Men’s Spring 2013 collection, with their supermarket-happy suits. Pop art and Andy Warhol inspired prints adorned preppy shorts, cardigans, trousers, and suits of laundry-powder packaging and emblazoned Moschino logos! Models later swapped their supermarket-sweep looks for citrus mixes of bright green trousers paired with screaming yellow jacket and red shoes, with a bow-tie, hat, or low-slung braces thrown in for good ol’ Bugsy Malone measure!

The show ended with a moment of Italian glamour revival, as models took to the catwalk flying the Italian flag (quite, literally) dressed in cocktail dresses, some accessorised with leather gloves and hats, others with capes and sunglasses. Each feminine look was presented with a hard edge.

The rest of the week will see dozens of Israeli designers like Sasson Kedem, Anya Fleet, Liora Taragan and more showcasing their Spring 2013 collections, as well as international events like Lanvin by Alber Elbaz launch party and shows from up-and-coming designers.

And true to fashion week style, there’s an after party every night of TAFW! Tonight's celebrations will take place at popular hangout for the rich and famous, Nanuchka bar and restaurant, where the walls are covered with the owner's (Nana) favorite verses of poetry.

Israel, is quickly making its name on fashion map and even famed New York fashion blogger, BryanBoy visited the Holy Land on a whistle-stop trip earlier this month, for a dose of culture and of course, fashion! He kept the world posted on his Twitter account and blog, about his dinners at the chic Hotel Montefiore, stop-off at Jaffa Flea Market, and visits to Israeli designer’s boutiques like Gideon Oberson and Maria Berman.
