All About Rihanna’s Upcoming Collection for River Island
Rihanna is well-known for her chic and trendy appearances on stages and on the red carpet. Now she has decided to design her own high-street fashion line, to launch Spring 2013.
Rihanna has collaborated with legendary musicians and has sold millions of albums worldwide, released top singles and super sexy music videos and is becoming a style icon. Now, the superstar has decided to add another title to her name – fashion designer.
Her first foray into fashion was a collab with Armani in 2011. They teamed up again for a 2012 campaign, and an Armani-Rihanna capsule collection of lingerie and clothing is in the works. Now Rihanna plans to launch her own high-street fashion line, currently in production, exclusively for the UK store River Island.
"I've been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British family-run business also really appealed to me," the singer told the press. "I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I'm looking forward to working with them and creating something really special."
Meanwhile, Rihanna is busy promoting her new UK television show, Styled To Rock, which premieres in August. And while her style speaks for itself, Rihanna can’t stop talking about her latest passion: "I've always loved fashion. Fashion has shaped me into the artist I am today”.
