Anna Dello Russo’s New Jewelry Line arrives at Paris Fashion Week
Trust Anna Dello Russo, the world’s favorite fashion wildcard, to make the ultimate entrance at Paris Fashion Week. The reigning fashion media fashionista threw the party to end all parties in celebration of the launch of her new jewelry line, AdR for H&M, which will hit the streets in October 4.
It was all the glitz, glamour, and entertainment that not just any fashionista could conjure up other than the wonderful Anna Dello Russo, as she put on a spectacular show at the iconic cabaret nightclub, Paradis Latin, on Thursday night.
The motto of the evening was, “excess means success!” And excess there most certainly was -- as the lady of the moment arrived at the suitably lavish venue accompanied by a troupe of “mini AdR’s,” dripping in gold, gold and more gold! But that was just to start. The real moment of grandeur came when she descended on her adoring guests from the ceiling, appearing on a heart-shaped swing, adorned with pink roses, wearing a brilliantly bold turquoise dress, and yes, of course... lots of gold!
Every little detail of the night was overly extravagant, from velvet chairs, to golden Anna balloons, chocolates covered with her face, and a gigantic statue of a golden boot made from sugar placed in the middle of the dance floor.
AdR launched her inaugural collection for H&M on Thursday in her signature savvy styleThe indulgent bash saw names hot off the catwalk like Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Liya Kebede and Isabeli Fontana attending the event, as well as appearances from designers Olivier Theyskens and Peter Dundas, amongst many other uber cool guests. And to top off the “Fashion Shower,” fashion week favorite and American rapper Azealia Banks turned up to get the party started with a stellar live performance!
"We wanted to give the guests an unforgettable experience: an ever-evolving night that started on the red carpet and ended on the dance floor... I had an army of mini AdRs around me, wearing the collection, just for the sake of something unexpected. Excess for me means success," she said on her big night.
AdR’s line for H&M will hit 140 stores worldwide from October 4, and FashionTV is going to be first in line for some of those chunky statement accessories! We can’t wait!
