Cover Photos: Kate Upton Highlights Five Magazine Covers This Year
Twenty-year old model Kate Upton is one of the hottest women on the planet. Since the days of her highly coveted appearance on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover, she has only garnered more and more appearances on magazine covers.
But has the bikini beauty changed since then? FashionTV takes an inside look at the bodacious babe who highlighted five magazine covers this year.
2012 was a great year for all-American model, Kate Upton. In January 2012, she posed for photographer Walter Iooss Jr during a photoshoot for the cover of one of the most prestigious lingerie and swimsuits fashion magazines – Sports Illustrated. Though she isn’t as slim as many other models, her smile and naughty eyes and a tiny bronze bikini made for a very sexy and successful cover.
In March 2012, Upton was photographed for the cover of Muse. Photographer Sebastian Faena paid homage to fashion icon Marilyn Monroe. Kate Upton, with a noticeable beauty mark and a sexy look posed naked on this cover.
Upton’s next cover was published in June. This time around, she appeared on the cover of The Daily Summer magazine. Here, Upton wore an elegant white swimwear, with a black and white light jacket. This was the first cover where Upton looked young and vivid rather than seductive and naughty.
Photographer Terry Richards took Upton’s picture for the cover of GQ. The magazine was published in July 2012, and the patriotic spirit was at the heart of this shoot. The blonde beauty was photographed enjoying a sweet treat and wearing a tiny bikini. Both the swimsuit and the treat were in patriotic colors and the headline referred to Upton as “the new reason to love your country.”
Upton’s next cover was also published in July. The Sunday Times Magazine chose the blonde model to appear on the front of its issue. This time she posed for photographer Eric Guillemain wearing a masculine black and white jacket and a black tie. With dark makeup, but without her trademark grin, Upton looked more sophisticated and mysterious than she ever did before.
Those covers showcase the transformation Upton has been going through in 2012. Within just a few months, this sexy siren has turned into a much more mature and sophisticated lady. If Upton continues to manage her career wisely, this change will certainly make her one of the next big supermodels of the century.
