It’s a rainy day in Cannes on Day 6 of the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival but that hasn’t stopped celebs from “pouring” into the the Palais des Festivals et des Congres de Cannes for the red carpet premieres of movies like Confessions of a Child of the Century and No.

British rocker Pete Doherty, who may be best known for his one-time fling with supermodel Kate Moss, made an appearance at the Festival to promote his main character in Sylvie Verheyde’s adaptation of an 1830s novel which inspired the movie Confessions of a Child of the Century.  It stars Doherty as a 19th century libertine. Lily Cole is the mistress character in the flick.  The English mode made her debut as an actress in the 2007 comedy St. Trinian’s.

The suave, handsome and debonair actor Gael Garcia Bernal was in Cannes this year to promote his film No.  The picture, set in 1988, tells the story of the man in charge of the television campaign to get rid of Chilean dictator Pinochet.  He didn’t seem to mind a little rain on his tuxedo.

Jury panel member Diane Kruger was on hand with longtime boyfriend Joshua Jackson.  Why she trying to take on the image of a disco ball? She certainly glittered in Vivienne Westwood wearing a sequined strapless gown with a built-in corset from the English designer.  It gave her an enviable silhouette.

Other notables in attendance include Director Roman Polanski.
