Do fashion and football really mix? According to FashionTV, they do! June 12th was an important day for football, and it wasn’t only because Poland and Russia had a soccer match during the 2012 Euro championships. Fashion played a role in another football event--Esotiq Presents Fashion Loves Football!

This gala event took at the National Opera House in Warsaw, Poland to celebrate both the Euro Championships and FashionTV’s 15th birthday.

It was a glamorous event with many big celebrities including French football coach Bernard Lama, French football players Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira, Polish singer and dancer Natasza Urbańska, and Polish actor, screenwriter, and director Janusz Józefowicz, just to name a few.

The gala’s hosts were TV Presenter/Actress Hofit Golan, a FashionTV host, and British designer Scott Henshall. Golan wore a gorgeous red garment by popular Polish designer Eva Minge.

The evening began with a performance by French singer Patricia Kaas, who sang four tunes, including three from her upcoming album. The fashion show that followed Kaas included designs from Jean Paul Gaultier, Escada, Gino Rossi, Georges Hobeika, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Eva Minge, and more. Marcelina Zawadzka, Miss Polonia 2011, was one of the models in the show. Dessange was the main hairstylist and Makeup For Ever was the makeup brand. Polish pop singer Natalia Lesz also performed during the event.

The gala included a charity auction with proceeds going to the Diambars organization, which builds football schools in Africa. Auctioned pieces included a high-end evening gown by couture designer Georges Hobeika, and some Formula 1 items.

Later, restaurateur Marta Grycan and host Hofit Golan invited guests to sample a delicious birthday cake made for FashionTV’s 15th birthday.

Honorary patrons at the event included Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, the Mayor of Warsaw and Alexander Alekseev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation.
