Fashion Trends: Well Suited Menswear Fall Winter 2012/13

Pick one of the season’s new tones and pair it with sharp tailoring and bold details for a perfect autumnal glow from head to toe.

For the past few seasons tailoring has taken center stage for menswear.  For Fall/Winter it is important to add a slick new accent to your wardrobe with some of the catwalk’s best sartorial masterpieces.  From slim fitting Italian labels such as Tombolini to great British tailoring at Burberry Prorsum, there are a plethora of options available in different sizes and silhouettes.

Wearing monotones

Rather than being overly formal or rigid, Fall’s sharp tailoring has a decidedly dandyish feel to it that gives it a more lighthearted elegance.  To play on this further, don’t be afraid to experiment with monotones, wearing one color from head to toe, to give classic silhouettes a refreshing twist.   A trend that was spotted recently outside the shows and along the front rows at the menswear fashion weeks, wearing one tone has been adopted by the style set as a fuss free way of looking fashion forward this winter.

Depending on how far you want to go, complete the look with unique accessories from Kresi Couture and Eye Walking Glasses for a stylish touch or opt for understated accents from Borsalino and Serapian that have a timeless feel.   Both ways work with this season’s new tailored shapes and can be worn to the office or out for drinks, depending on what type of accessories you choose to match.  It is all about contrasting and matching to find the right tailored shapes to match the new tones that together make the perfect pairing.

For extra points this season, add an eye catching iPad case and tablet holder for high tech flair.  Choose a bright metallic to be ahead of the crowd or a super soft leather pouch that you can use every day.   If you want to add a quirky touch opt for a pair of embellished gloves or an umbrella with a detailed handle both of which were popular on the catwalks for Fall.  These all may sound like a number of different themes but concentrate on picking out tailoring to suit your shape, a color to match your mood and the perfect accessories so that you can find a combination that looks well suited to your style for the coming season.
