New York Front Row Favs
Olympic gold medalists, Hollywood A-listers, chart-toppers, and the odd internet tycoon are the kind of celebrities you’ll find at New York Fashion Week; and clad in this season’s latest styles, they failed to disappoint! New York Fashion Week kicked off this fashion season and with it, the race to be the first faces spotted on the front row!
Amongst FashionTV’s favorite spots at Chris Benz’s show were actress Susan Sarandon, who turned up accessorised by her two fluffy dogs and a heartwarming smile. Meanwhile, it was hard to miss Kelly Osbourne clad in neon-brights, an awesome twisted top-knot, and statement sunglasses -- which she recently confessed to Grazia magazine to be rude to wear to a show, unless the designer asks. But true to Osbourne fashion, the inner-rebel was on the loose, and no one's going to stop Kelly from doing what she wants!
While at Carolina Herrera, glamour, glamour, and more glamour adorned the front row, with Manhattan heiress Ivanka Trump, and the eternally elegant Bianca Jagger adding a touch of gloss to an already classic Carolina Herrera collection.
The front-row was looking particularly hot at Y-3’s SS13 collection, when we caught sight of David Beckham looking effortlessly cool showing support for Adidas.
While Ralph Lauren’s front row turned out to be a star-studded event, with the beautiful actress Jessica Alba and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte representing all things uber celeb!
Eyeballing in London
British ladies flew the flag at London Fashion Week a few weeks ago--some with and some arguably without--front row etiquette. Totting up on our list of most-eclectic and most-seen front row faces were model Poppy Delevingne (yes, Cara’s big sister!), while British Fashion Council ambassador Alexa Chung had a busy week, making a whopping appearance at seven shows. Then there was grunge party girl Pixie Geldof and pal Kelly Osbourne who turned up to support friend Henry, at House of Holland, giggling and cheering away on the side.
More sophisticated entrances came from veteran model Twiggy who took her daughter to the Sass & Bide show, and British first lady Samantha Cameron looking exquisite at Christopher Kane. Yet, undisputedly, the event that hollers all the top names year upon year is Burberry Prorsum.
Burbs front row was peppered with super-Brits who have conquered America -- We’re talking Sir Jonathan Ive, and Andy Murray -- while Dita von Teese snapped up sitting next to Harry Styles of One Direction. An unpredictable but eclectic turnout for the usually-predictable front-row faces at Burberry.
Rubbernecking in Milan
Moving to Milan, front row showings were more of a super event than previous fashion weeks had seen, perhaps it was the Mediterranean sunshine that lured all the big names: with supermodels, superstars, and super sportsmen turning out for the glitz and glamour that is Milan Fashion Week.
American actress Sharon Stone and her boyfriend Martin Mica were snapped up looking head-over-heels in the front row at the Fendi catwalk show, Elizabeth Hurley was joined by her boyfriend Australian cricket star Shane Warne at Roberto Cavalli, while tennis star Serena Williams left the racket at home and turned up at Emporio Armani, joined by Colin’s wife the beautiful Livia Firth.
A more royal affair took place on the Gucci sidelines, as Monaco royalty and face of latest Gucci campaign, Charlotte Casiraghi, looked demure in denim at the SS13 show! Meanwhile, it was an actresses calling on the front row at the Salvatore Ferragamo show as Beau Garrett, Kelsey Chow, and Claire Julian were all photographed seated together. Front-rowing was a serious job at Milan Fashion Week, and we can’t wait to see the looks jump straight off the catwalk and onto the front-rowers fabulous bodies!
Perusing in Paris
It’s only day three and already big names have invaded the front row at Paris Fashion Week! Celebrities like Kristen Stewart have darted straight for the front row at Balenciaga -- naturally, she is the face and muse of the brand -- who was sitting side-by-side with Anna Wintour and actress Salma Hayek with her fashion tycoon husband Francois Henri Pinault. To see the best of the front row at Paris, stay tuned with FashionTV!
