She epitomises the meaning of French cool and is just starting to make her mark on the fashion map! Newcomer Marine Deleeuw, is all about sultry strong femininity. Born in the northern region of Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes, France, Deleeuw was first discovered in 2010 through model contest Future Top Model in Belgium, and has since been snapped up by model agencies in Milan, Barcelona, Paris, New York, and Hamburg.
But it is Deleeuw’s latest casting at New York Fashion Week SS13 that has revealed to the world her powerful potential: opening BCBG Max Azria and Rag & Bone shows on the first day of fashion week, closing Jill Stuart and Marc by Marc Jacobs, and walking for nine others in between, to include Victoria Victoria Beckham, Narciso Rodriguez and Calvin Klein -- arguably the most coveted show to score.
Deleeuw graced New York Fashion Week carrying a number of looks and exuding natural confidence on the runway; harnessed in monochrome dresses for BCBG Max Azria, looking effortlessly chic on the streets, channeling Hollywood glamour for Jill Stuart, rocking nautical for Tommy Hilfiger, and emitting rays of romance even for a moto-finery inspired collection by Belstaff.
But before the runway mania and media caught on to the Deleeuw frenzy, the Marion Cotillard lookalike had been behind the scenes shooting for editorials like Italian Glamour (April 2012), and more.Deleeuw opens the show forRag & Bone at New York Fashion Week SS13
Her long, preened hair, mesmerising eyes, doll-like complexion, and perfect pout have naturally opened the door to her modelling career, but behind those big brown eyes lies ambition, drive, and attitude, and FashionTV can’t wait to see where she will be placed on the Parisian catwalks in only a weeks time.
