FashionTV Presents: Behind the Scenes with Lisalla Montenegro for Maybelline New York
FashionTV got the inside scoop on a recent photoshoot for the Maybelline New York cosmetics line with Brazilian model Lisalla Montenegro. It’s the model’s first shoot with Maybelline New York.
In the shoot, Montenegro wears a sequined black dress with sharp shoulders and dark, dramatic black eyeliner and mascara, courtesy of Maybelline. Her lashes are heightened with lash extensions. For other shots, she wears gold metallic on the lids and a reddish-bronze eye shadow up top with flowing fabrics in orange and bronze. A leather dress brings out the full on lipstick and a powerful pout.
“I love being in front of the camera, the video, the movement. People say you look great. You feeling great. You feeling confident,” she says.
Montenegro joins Christy Turlington, Erin Wasson, and Julia Stegner as spokesmodels for this campaign since April 2012. The photographer for this shoot is Kenneth Willardt.
“I think what Lisalla’s gonna bring is a feminine but sexy energy to the bunch,” says fashion stylist Michael Angel of the model. “She has this sense of fun to her as well.”
“I think her beauty is classic,” says Makeup Artist Charlotte Willer, “Even when she has very little makeup, she has that sensuality...she really does transform.”
“The makeup is so strong and powerful and sexy,” Montenegro says.
The 21-year old model was born in Goias. She was discovered during a Miss Goias beauty pageant. She signed with Maybelline New York in 2010.
