Giles Deacon Wears Pink Socks At Sir Elton’s Grey Goose Winter Ball!

Gareth Pugh, Giles Deacon, Julien Macdonald, and Elizabeth Hurley arrived in fashion pack force as they showed up for Elton John’s annual Grey Goose Winter Ball in London... and they were certainly dressed to impress!

When top-notch celebs receive an invitation through the door inviting them to the most high-flying winter ball in town -- none other than Sir Elton’s Grey Goose shindig -- we can only imagine the first thought flying through their minds. Like, what are we going to wear?!

And Elizabeth Hurley pulled out all the style stops this time round. She arrived at the blue carpet bash on Saturday night with fiancé Shane Ward and David Furnish, dazzling onlookers in a floor length Bluemarine  gown that blended blue leopard print, sequins, and thigh-high splits.

Following Hurley on the themed carpet, were the likes of David Hasselhoff, Eliza Doolittle, Jay Kay, Katherine Jenkins, and Marina from Marina and the Diamonds, who opted for equally jaw-dropping looks for an evening of cocktails, rubbing-shoulders, and charity bidding.

But asides from Hurley’s dramatic entrance, FashionTV were loving Deacon’s blue carpet moment, as he arrived dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton and pink Uniqlo socks! Meanwhile, Kevin Spacey looked equally dapper in a Gieves & Hawkes dinner suit, and did his host-with-the-most best to ramp up bidding during the auction, while keeping the guests suitably entertained with his whimsical banter and Elton impersonations.

The annual event, now in it’s sixth year, was held at the iconic Battersea Power Station building in London to raise money and awareness for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

The evening, which raised an incredible £690,000, was hosted by Spacey, who was called in at the last minute to fill Sir Elton’s boots. Instead, Elton suddenly flew to Australia covering for George Michael, who had fallen ill before a performance at the new opera house.

“I’ve been to a number of these. I’ve also been to the one that David and Elton do in the Summer time. It’s an important and great event.

“I was asked to step in for Elton at the last minute. But no one can really step in for Elton!” says Spacey.
