Jessica Simpson Presents: A New Maternity Line
Jessica Simpson is due to launch her 24th line in the Jessica Simpson Collection. The new line, Jessica Simpson Maternity, will be available this fall and according to the designer, it will allow women to remain in style all nine months of their pregnancy.
Jessica Simpson gave birth less than a month ago; while other women would use this period for resting and spending time with the new baby, for Simpson, now is the right time to give birth to another venture: a new line of maternity clothes.
The Jessica Simpson Maternity line will be available this fall in Destination Maternity, Motherhood Maternity, and Macy’s. The new collection will include maxi dresses, printed tops, blazers, sweaters, knits, and even cool printed jeans, starting at just $36. All of the collections’ items will have a 1970’s vintage feel to them. Simpson promises that the maternity line will allow pregnant women to be fashionable, sexy, and effortlessly chic.
The maternity line joins Jessica Simpson’s fashion empire. In the last few years, Simpson has founded 23 clothing lines, and this would be her 24th. According to some reports, by the end of the year Simpson will earn 1 billion dollars from her fashion businesses alone.
In addition, Simpson has signed a reported 3 million dollar contract with the dieting program “Weight Watchers.” Her new segment will teach women all over the world how to lose baby weight.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the new mom sold her baby Maxwell Drew’s first photo to People magazine for $800,000.
With a new clothing line, a huge contract with Weight Watchers, and a stunning amount of cash for her baby’s first picture, it is no wonder why Jessica Simpson keeps saying that pregnancy and motherhood have only done her good.
