Kristina Salinovic started modelling when she was nineteen years old. Until then, she dreamt about just being young and having fun. Once her friends pushed her to test her talents on the catwalks, she immediately felt like she was born for the job. The traveling, the clothes, the fashion shows and the spotlights were doing her nothing but great things. Add to that her exotic look and you got an amazing Croatian model that enjoys presenting different aspects of her personality every time she has the chance.
Rocking the Runway
After switching a few modeling agencies, Kristina Salinovic’s career was officially launched. She debuted at the Spring 2011 Osman show during London Fashion Week. During the same Fashion Week, she also walked for Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith and Richard Nicoll.
Salinovic’s stardom shined and in Paris Fashion Week she got to open the Louis Vuitton Fashion Show. According to her, this is by far her greatest achievement as a model. Apart from this show, Salinovic appeared in Vivienne Westwood and Emanuel Ungaro runway shows.
Recently, Salinovic became one of the most wanted models in the industry. In Fall 2011 Paris Fashion Week she opened Thierry Mugler’s show, closed for PPQ, Giles and Narciso Rodriguez.
Cover Girl
Covershoots usually involve a ton of makeup, breathtaking locations and a fabulous selection of clothes. Have you ever thought about how a model feels during a covershoot? Well, if you ask Kristina Salinovic, she has a hard time recognizing herself on magazines. All that makeup, different hairstyles and the close ups make it difficult for her to believe she is the one in those sexy photos. Along the way during her career, the Croatian hottie took part in several fashion productions, mostly for editorials. She appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue in 2011. That time she posed for fashion photographer Steven Meisel that once created an unforgettable magazine cover.
Ad Star
Kristina Salinovic admits she prefers being on a catwalk rather than being photographed for ad campaigns. The temper behind the scenes, the different designs and the walking are a few of her favorite things. This may be the reason why she took part in only two campaigns so far.
The lucky labels were Y-B and Missoni. The season was Fall 2011 and the result – an amazing fashion production starring one of the most beautiful models working in the industry today.
