Leo Messi Arrives At Milan Fashion Week Plus Man Streaks At Dolce & Gabbana Show!
Milan Fashion Week men’s edition is in full swing, just days after the London Collections: Men Spring 2014 shows ended, and stealing the spotlight with their grandiose catwalk spectacle on Saturday was fashion’s favorite design force, Dolce & Gabbana.
They may have just been sentenced to 20 months in jail for tax evasion, but nothing is going to stop the Dolce & Gabbana power duo from turning up the style stakes in Milan with their Spring 2014 menswear collection!
Their latest show follows in the footsteps of previous collections; turning to Sicily for inspiration and starring a cast of all-Sicilian men -- not models. But this time around it was Sicily’s Greek-inflected mythology that inspired the new season’s looks.
Prints of gods Zeus and Apollo, ancient currency, and temples were emblazoned across shorts and short-sleeved tops, while other “models” took to the catwalk in Dolce & Gabanna’s signature sharply-tailored suits to the soundtrack of Ennio Morricone's music for “Cinema Paradiso” (1988).
And while most eyes were on the catwalk, others may have been distracted by the new face of Dolce & Gabanna’s underwear campaign, Leo Messi, who was spotted on the front row at the show! Earlier that day, Messi arrived at the Dolce & Gabbana store in Milan for the opening of the "Lionel Andrés Messi Photographs by Domenico Dolce" exhibition.
On a lighter note, the show even included a nude streaker, apparently German, who gatecrashed the catwalk at the finale, much to the surprise of onlookers!
