Look Like A Top Model: Issa Spring Beauty Tips
Issa’s Spring beauty look is about playing on sexuality and charm while keeping things ultra-feminine and flirty. Pink lips, florals, and multi-color shimmers are this season’s key items.
This season, Issa’s beauty look had a ’70s vibe that matched the slinky, sexy, collection: dramatic smokey eye, glossy red lips, and glamorous updo. FashionTV shows you how to get the Issa Spring 2013 model look... It’s time for all the secret tips!
Garden Glow Skin
To complete the designer’s Garden of Eden, retro-vibe collection, model’s skin was given a “garden glow,” like one would imagine Eve’s sun-kissed and flawless skin.
How To: Highlighting your cheeks and the bridge of your nose. Dot a lighter concealer along cheekbones and nose -- all high planes of the face to accentuate the contours. This will give your face a more angled, structured look (place a darker foundation / concealer along hairline, temples, and under chin).
Chignon High-Volume Hair
Keep your hair glossy, high-volume, and chignon style says the Issa styling team. Models’ hair was styled up in elaborate twists with fresh orchids woven throughout. The hair is quite couture with pieces placed organically so no two girls are exactly the same... which means there’s room for creativity.
How To: You will need to be patient with this look, as a lot of prep and styling went into this. Ensure hair is straight before proceeding. Brush hair up into a smooth, high ponytail, with no flyaway pieces. Take sections of the ponytail -- between 4-5 depending on the thickness of your hair -- and loop them into large loops pin down with bobby pins and lots of hairspray. When the look is complete, cover the hair with a light hairnet and loop in fresh orchards to suit your mood. (Cristiano Basciu)
Smokey, sultry, and retro eyes were the theme of the day for the Issa Spring models, enhanced with winged eyeliner.
How To: You will need a liquid pen. For easy application hold a mirror at chin level and look downwards. Gently drag the pen along the lashline and past the corner of your eye. To create the winged effect, start at the outer corners of the line you just drew and work back towards your eye using a light sketching technique to gently fill the line. Follow the natural shape of your eye and connect the line to the inner corner of your eyes.
Spotlight Stealing Glossy Lips
Give your evening a gorgeous upgrade by infusing sexy glossy lips like the ones seen at Issa's Spring 2013 collection. Sexy and feminine, glossy lips are definite spotlight stealers and should be reserved for special occasions.
How To: To get Issa's electric pout, make sure to opt for a high-shine long-lasting lip gloss like Dolce & Gabbana's ($29) in Charm, an intense fuchsia pink gloss with multi-color shimmer.
