MDNA Tour: Live Fashion Show

Posted on 12th June 2012 | Celebrity

Jean-Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Jeremy Scott, Prada and Alexander Wang. No, this is not another fashion week review, this is the list of fashion designers who created Madonna's costumes for her MDNA tour. The only question is, who was responsible for designing the hot lingerie she wore on stage?

The queen of pop started her new world tour - MDNA - in Israel. While she danced and sang on stage, we couldn’t help but wonder who was responsible for her gorgeous outfits and sexy lingerie. Apparently, many top fashion designers took part in designing costumes for her new tour, and the result is a musically-filled fashion show.

One of Madonna's most iconic fashion items are the cone bras designed by top French designer, Jean-Paul Gaultier. This year, the immortal cones got a new twist and have been updated to look much more like a combination between a cone bra and a corset. “We played with the ideas of a suit and a corset. But the corset is now like a cage,” said Gaultier to WWD. “What I have done this time is a nod to the conical bra corset of the Blond Ambition tour but reinterpreted in 3-D, in patent leather on the outside with metallic leather on the inside.”

Other than Gaultier, Madge also wore items designed by top designers Jeremy Scott (who joined her in Israel for final touch-ups) and Alexander Wang. As for the shoes, Madonna danced on stage with Miuccia Prada’s, Prada and Miu Miu, designs.

Aside from clothing by top designers, Madonna sang with nothing on but sexy lingerie. Some of her risque costumes were designed by lingerie label Agent Provocateur, but most of them were designed by none-other than Madonna herself. The Queen of Pop used her world tour as an excuse to promote her new lingerie line “Truth or Dare by Madonna.” Yes, soon we will all be able to rock out in our undies just like Madonna!

As for Madonna's backup dancers, they all had fun on stage while wearing gorgeous J. Brand jeans, that allowed for high kicks and sultry dance moves; while the band and backup vocalists all donned Dolce & Gabbana suits.
