Now that London’s 2012 Summer Olympics are over with, finishing with a tremendous closing ceremony, we must pay tribute not only to the models that took part in the ceremony’s incredible display of fierce fashion and celeb hotness, but also to the British models and designers who make British fashion some of the best in the world.  Thanks to their Twitter accounts, we got some exclusive coverage (and pictures) from the models who participated in the closing event.

Supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell led the pack dressed in gold Alexander McQueen.  Other models that were part of the group included Stella Tennant, Lily Cole, Lily Donaldson, Jourdan Dunn, Georgia May Jagger, Karen Elson, and male supermodel David Gandy.  They walked to David Bowie’s song “Fashion.”

Victoria Beckham, a British fashion designer, celebrity, singer, and model in her own right, made her own dramatic display as ⅕ of the group Spice Girls, who reunited especially for the occasion.

At the closing ceremony, the British designers had their clothes on full display for a taste of modern British fashion.  Victoria Beckham wore Giles, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss stunned in Alexander McQueen, Georgia May Jagger wore Victoria Beckham, Karen Elson had on a gold floral lace dress by Burberry, Lily Donaldson’s gown was by Vivienne Westwood, Stella Tennant rocked a Christopher Kane catsuit, Lily Cole wore an Erdem lace cocktail dress, Jourdan Dunn wowed in a tube dress by Jonathan Saunders and David Gandy wore a Paul Smith suit.
