Paris Haute Couture- Elite Fashion Collections
Paris is one of the most unique and romantic fashion capitals of the world. Though the ready to wear Fashion Week collections are always innovative, there is nothing like the French Haute Couture celebration.
Top brands and iconic fashion designers present capsule collections of gowns, suits and accessories that most of us can only dream about. Take a look at the best shows from the previous Winter and try to imagine what these fascinating designers have in mind for the upcoming Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
Who could forget the glamour, beauty, sophistication, and intricate detail of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week? This upcoming Fall/Winter 2012/13 couture Fashion Week is going to be bigger and more romantic than ever. The coats, dresses, sexy designs and unique creative visions are going to leave an everlasting impression even if you are not a fan of fashion.
One of the biggest highlights of Paris Haute Couture Week is Jean Paul Gaultier’s fashion show. In his last winter collection, the French designer included a flashback of his career along with a black swan/white swan theme. Everything about the models looked swan-inspired--down to the feathers in their hair. The sophisticated line along with the dramatic music turned this Gaultier collection into another extravagant event.
Another wonderful fashion show presented about a year ago was the Armani Prive show. Not since Giorgio Armani revealed his famous samurai collection has an Armani line been so positively Eastern chic. Old Japan was represented as well as new, with man-tailored pants, double cuffed jacket sleeve and an asymmetric one-armed jacket all providing a futuristic feel. We wonder what the Italian elite fashion house will present this time…
Inspiration for Valentino’s last winter couture line was aristocratic Russia and its Tsarist family. The feeling from the Fall 2011 collection was positively royal, even Shakespearean. Designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Picciolo revealed 41 stunning gowns, all perfectly tailored and crafted from beautiful fabrics. Watch this clip and get into the couture mood…
