Paris Haute Couture- Fashion, Glam and Style

Posted on 10th July 2012 | Paris Couture Fall 2012

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week is a great chance to see how fashion legends are created. The fabrics, unique designs and the fact that those gowns are one of a kind make this fashion week even more unique and full with fun.

Check out some of the best moments from the catwalk of Paris Haute Couture.

Christian Dior – Simons Gets Back to the Roots

Sharon Stone, Isabelle Huppert and Marion Cotillard were all  front row, while Raf Simons presented his first Couture collection as Dior’s chief designer. Though stepping into John Galliano’s shoes is not a simple task, Simons managed to meet the high expectations and presented a wonderful couture collection. According to Simons’ vision, the mansion in which the show took place was covered with fresh flowers and contained an amazing atmosphere.

The white orchids, blue delphiniums and yellow goldenrods were a beautiful nod to the house founder’s passion for flowers. As for the collection, Simons took Dior’s classic silhouettes and gave them a new, young interpretation. Pencil skirts and jackets, pantsuits and bare-shoulder dresses along with the flowers,  made this show very memorable.

Chanel – Lagerfeld, Roses and a Beautiful Bride

Milla Jovovich, Sofia Coppola and Diane Kruger came to get a close look at the new couture collection by Chanel. Once the lights were on, it was almost impossible to enjoy the great background Karl Lagerfeld wanted for the show. One way or another, this couture line is much more than just fashion. It’s a vintage phenomena designed by the one and only Lagerfeld. The designer continued the tradition of closing the show with a bridal look.

This time it was top model Lindsey Wixson that wore an extravagant wedding gown. Feathers, soft fabrics and lastly a marvelous gown was the icing on the cake of Chanel Couture Fashion Show.

Giorgio Armani Privé – WOW!

Anna Wintour and Anna Dello Russo are 2 of the most powerful women in the fashion magazine world. Both of them attended the Giorgio Armani Prive show, in order to see the hottest couture collection for next winter. Unlike other runway shows, this time the models went on stage in pairs.

Two by two they graced the catwalk, wearing clothes in color palette that included hues of blue as well as purple, grey and pink. Apart from the jackets, velvet pants and floor-length skirts, some of the models were wearing super fashionable black barets.  The result – a one of a kind couture fashion show.
