Tadashi Shoji: New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013
FashionTV has your in-depth look at the Tadashi Shoji Spring/Summer 2013 collection during New York Fashion Week.
Theme: East Meets West
The Look: Designer Tadashi Shoji, a favorite of celebs like Octavia Spencer and Christina Hendricks, did something especially creative this season, sure to be snapped up by major celebs for any red carpet event big or small. The Venetian embroidery, prints, delicate lace, and sexy detailing made for a stellar journey from California to the Gobi desert, where dresses in blue, red, and jade green were treated with patchwork and inspired by caves to the Eastern region. Ikat-prints made a statement and got a rouse from the crowd and the embellished tulle gowns inspired by one of the oldest cities in China, Xi’an, came in many shapes, forms, and colors.
Hair & Makeup: Hair in center-parted updo with wisps of hair pulled out in front by Rodney Cutler for Cutler/Redken. Makeup is dewy but natural from Luc Bouchard and the MAC Pro Team.
Top Models: Codie Young, Maria Bradley, Andie Arthur, Maud Welzen
Front Row: Angela Simmons (Reality Star), June Ambrose (Stylist), Daisy Fuentes (Host, Model, Comedian)
Who Would Wear It: Octavia Spencer, Florence Welch, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez
Where To Wear: So if you’re not lucky enough to go to that red carpet event, some of these dresses are the perfect pieces to mix with your resortwear at your next vacation. FashionTV can definitely see you snapping up those dresses for a luxe dinner with your significant other or late night drinks with friends along the beach.
