The Fashion Magazine Covers of Adriana Lima
Brazilian bombshell Adriana Lima has been a beautiful and familiar face on the catwalk since the late 90s. Since that time, she has accumulated thousands of fans across the world, long term contracts, and countless successes.
She has posed for the best fashion photographers, appeared in the best editorials, and of course, been a standout star for Victoria’s Secret. Then there are the fashion magazine covers...
Though Adriana Lima's debut fashion show was in 1997 (for Anna Sui), she only got her first fashion magazine cover six years later. In 2003, Lima was featured on the cover of Elle magazine for the first time. That same year, she opened the annual Victoria's Secret show.
Adriana Lima's next cover was three years later in 2006. This time GQ magazine chose to feature her on its cover and that issue would become the best selling issue of the year.
At the beginning of 2007, Lima starred in the Victoria's Secret television commercial that was aired during the Superbowl. A short time later, she was featured on the cover of Esquire magazine and also on the cover of GQ for the second time. In September 2008, British GQ chose to feature Lima on their cover alongside other Victoria's Secret Angels.
In 2010 Lima got two more covers. Vincent Peters photographed her for the cover of Spanish Vogue, and Mario Sorrenti pictured Lima for the cover of V magazine. The Brazilian Vogue chose the native sexy ambassador for their cover at the beginning of 2011. Later that year Lima posed for Alexei Hay during a cover shoot for Elle magazine.
These days Adriana and husband Marko Jaric are expecting their second child. So far pregnant Adriana has only exposed her baby bump during a photoshoot for the new Pirelli Calendar. Will we get to see her on another cover before she gives birth? Will the Pirelli calendar be enough? We’re hoping the answer is no...
