Will Aymeline Valade dominate Fall 2012 and defend her First Face title?
A First Face is a model that dominates the catwalk during the Fashion Week season, making her the darling of top designers and a face able to represent a plethora of brands. Last season Aymeline Valade, who opened nine shows during the Spring Fashion Weeks, was the winner of FashionTV’s First Face contest.

Each season, designers attain a vision of what their collection will look like, and ultimately of how their show will emulate that idea. One model must open the show, and the first girl to make her way down the runway must be able to represent the collection’s style better than any other. While on the catwalk, this first-face always projects an image of perfection and ultimately emulates the visions of the designer. At the end of every season, FashionTV reveals its famous First Face rank, and finally, the First Face winner.
Last season, Aymeline Valade took the runway by storm. She attained the title of a First Face winner by being the only model to open nine shows and represent the most brands during the Spring 2012 Fashion Weeks. The gorgeous French model opened for the likes of Carolina Herrera, MaxMara, Narciso Rodriguez, Vera Wang, and others.
Back in our Fall 2011 First Face countdown, Aymeline Valade was ranked in 10th place. However, since then she’s made her way up in the fashion world and has become one of the most in-demand models in the industry.
Could Aymeline Valade be this season’s winner too?
Anja Rubik, a Victoria’s Secret Angel of Polish decent, was another big contender for last season’s First Face title. However, she landed the number two spot on FashionTV’s First Face countdown. The beauty opened seven shows for the Spring 2012 season including Matthew Williamson, Kanye West, Elie Saab, and Balmain, amongst other big names.
On the 3rd place rank of last season’s countdown, was the gorgeous Australian model Julia Nobis, who opened six Spring 2012 shows. Amongst the prominent fashion houses who chose Nobis to open their shows, were Alexander McQueen, Peter Som, and Rebecca Taylor.
Stunning and successful top models, including Karlie Kloss, Daphne Groenveld, Karmen Pedaru, Arizona Muse, Daria Strokous, Bette Franke, and Zuzanna Bijoch were also top contenders on the First Face rank last season. Now, the question on everyone’s mind is “who were the most popular faces on the runways during the Fall Fashion Weeks?
