Tel Aviv Fashion Week – The Heat is On
The first ever Tel-Aviv fashion week took place in Israel. Top Designer Roberto Cavalli was the guest of honor, and has presented his new collection along with young fashion designers from the Israeli fashion industry. Fashion week in a great opportunity for well known and for young designers to shine. Sure you are familiar with New York, Milan, Paris and London fashion weeks. Now you can add a new one to the glamorous list – Tel Aviv fashion week (TLV FW). This is the first time that Tel Aviv hosts a major fashion occasion such as this, and all the fashion industry was anxious to see what will be the outcomes.
Lots of fashion designers and fashion journalists came to take part in the event. One of the biggest highlights of the events was the Roberto Cavalli fashion show. The Italian top designer usually presents his new collection on the stages of Milan fashion week. This season Cavalli has decided to change the location for the revealing of his new creations. The new fashion scene that was chosen was Tel Aviv.
In addition to Cavalli, many Israeli fashion designers presented their new collection during the fashion week. Among them you could find Mira Zwillinger, Yosef, Sugar Daddy, Dorit Bar-Or, Galit Levi and Ishtar. Their names may not be as familiar as Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Gucci or Armani, they all sure aim to those levels. For example, Madonna’s eldest daughter, Lourdes, is already a fan of Sugar Daddy fashion house.
One of the most curious shows includes the designs of the Shenkar fashion academy. The best students from the fashion design department were invited to take part in the fashion week. This can be their chance to go wild and expose their vision to the fashion world.
