Betsey Johnson brought all the energies and colors of the sixties and seventies into the fashion world when she launched her avant-garde creations in time for the “Youthquake” movement. Many of her designs combine bright colors, outlandish patterns, and unique fabrics (such as shower curtains!) Moving between fashion design and creative direction, Johnson partnered with ex-model Chantal Bacon to start their own line in 1978, the Betsey Johnson label.
