Overview
Dries van Noten’s father and grandfather were both working in the Belgian fashion industry before the famed designer. Van Noten studied at the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and kicked off his fashion career in 1986, when he launched his first menswear collection in London. “I'm a little naive, but I don't like the idea of showing things that you don't sell in a store,” van Noten commented in an interview. Following this way of thinking, Dries van Noten does not offer haute couture fashion and all of his designs are available for purchase at retail stores. Currently, Dries van Noten presents four fashion collection a year; both men's and women's collections for Fall and Spring.
