Overview

Franco Moschino wanted to be a professional painter. To finance his studies, he worked as a fashion illustrator and was eventually convinced that his future lay in fabrics and tailoring rather than in canvas and painting. Moschino became an illustrator for Gianni Versace, and founded his own company in 1983. At the beginning, Moschino focused only on designing jeans and casual wear, but it’s popularity lead to the label being expanded and today stands as one of Italy's leading fashion houses.
