Labeled by some as the “new Alexander McQueen,” Sunderland-born Gareth Pugh is one of the worlds most celebrated designers. He made his name in fashion from his gothic graduate collection, in 2003, which was showcased at Central Saint Martins, where he studied. The collection caught the eye of a Dazed and Confused senior fashion editor who put one of his concepts on the magazine’s cover not long after. His signature look is defined by predominantly black collections, incorporating religious iconography, gothic theatre, geometric cuts, leathers, and fur.
