Overview

Giorgio Armani is one of the most successful designers to come out of Italy. But as a young child he dreamed of pursuing a career in medicine, which he studied in Milan. Three years later Armani joined the army and was based in an infirmary in Verona. He shortly decided he wanted to take his life in a different direction and began working as a window dresser in a Milanese department store. His natural talent for fashion saw him promoted to sales, and he later began designing, with a focus on menswear. Today, the Armani fashion empire is a synonym for luxury and great Italian style around the world.
