Overview
Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke first met in 1992 as students, but each of them had chosen a different path. In the late-1990s, the Australian duo rekindled their friendship and began working together, leading them to establish one of the most stylish denim label’s in the world – Sass & Bide. The friends started out by designing and selling customized jeans on London's Portobello Road Market; purchasing jeans from retail outlet stores and giving them their own personal and stylish touch. During the Noughties, Sass & Bide began showcasing their collections on the fashion week catwalks, to include London, Australia and New York.
