Overview
Stephane Rolland is Parisian by birth, but was raised in the South of France, Argentina, and the Caribbean. When Rolland was 20 years old, he joined Balenciaga fashion house as an intern and was quickly appointed as the creative director of menswear and international licenses, after just nine months. He left the Spanish fashion house four years later to set-up his own pret-a-porter label. Some years later, Rolland was offered the position as artistic manager of Jean-Louis Scherrer’s haute couture fashion house, where the French designer would work for 10 years. In 2007, Rolland presented his own haute couture collection, under his own name at Paris Fashion Week.
