Overview
In the ’70s, Vera Wang was senior fashion editor at Vogue. She lost the position of editor-in-chief to Anna Wintour and moved on to join Ralph Lauren as a fashion designer. After gaining 20 years experience, Wang opened her own design studio and began presenting her unique bridal gowns. Over the years, Wang’s gowns became synonymous with her romantic and glamorous designs. Wang shot to fame, and in 2005 was presented with the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Womenswear Designer of the Year Award.
