At the age of 16 Bette received a great opportunity to debut on the catwalks of Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. After appearing as the first face of the Fall Jil Sander show in Milan, Franke walked for Hermes and Emanuel Ungaro in Paris Fashion Week. In September 2005, she opened and closed the Jil Sander spring fashion show, and was named “This Year’s Model” by WWD.
Between 2006 and 2008, Bette Franke was busy with establishing her name as one of the most promising models on the catwalks. She walked for top designers and brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Ferragamo, Miu Miu, Prada, and Ralph Lauren. Top designer Anna Molinari also picked Franke to present her spring collection in 2006. Later Molinari described Franke as being “sweet, [and having] a strong personality and harmonious curves.”
Throughout her fashion career, Bette Franke has appeared on several fashion magazine covers. “Avantgarde” was the first magazine who offered Franke a cover in 2007. The hot model appeared on this magazine’s cover once again in July 2008.
During 2007 Franke was also on the cover of “Numero Tokyo” magazine. One year later the Dutch beauty appeared on the covers of “Elle France” and “Flair Italy.” “French Elle” gave her another cover in 2010.
Bette Franke managed to land a “Vogue UK” cover in 2009, and in 2010 she was photographed for the cover of “Marie Claire Italy.”
Bette Franke is back in the spotlight after a long break from the modeling world. Looking back at the past two Fashion Week seasons, we can definitely assume that the Dutch stunner isn’t going anywhere and we will surely see more from her in upcoming shows.
