Rocking the Runway
Throughout her modeling career, Carla Bruni walked on the best catwalks the fashion world has to offer. She became a popular face on the runway shows of Christian Dior, Paco Rabanne, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Chanel, Versace, Valentino, Sonia Rykiel and many others top designers.
In 1997, Bruni retired from modeling, but seven years later, in 2004, the thriving model made a comeback and received a very welcoming attitude from many designers, photographers and fashion journalists.
Ad Star
At the very beginning of Bruni's career, in 1986, Paul Marciano, president and creative director of Guess? Inc., came across one of her photos and immediately chose her to be the brand's new face. During the 1990s Bruni featured as the face of Prada, Givenchy, Chanel cosmetics, Alessandro Dell'Acqua and more.
Bruni also posed for some of the world's most talented fashion photographers during cover shoots, editorials and other productions that were published on fashion magazines.
Off the Runways
In 2008, Carla Bruni married former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy. Only two months after the wedding, a 1993 nude picture of Bruni was taken during her modeling career and was published and sold for 91,000 dollars.
In 2011 Bruni gave birth to first daughter.
