Iman debuted on the catwalks of Marc Jacobs, Derek Lam, Anna Sui and Proenza Schouler during Spring 2006 New York Fashion Week. She gained a ton of self confidence and during the following season, she winked to the cameras to prove to the world that she has what it takes. Ever since, Iman worked with many top brands and designers and rocked the runways of Milan, Paris, London and New York fashion weeks. She walked for Dior, Gaultier, Givenchy, House of Holland, Dsquared2, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Blumarine, Carolina Herrera and many more.
One of Iman’s greatest achievements was signing a three-year contract with Victoria’s Secret in 2009. Chanel Iman did not walk the runways during 2011. The only time she was on the runway was when she closed the Kanye West Fashion Show in New York.
The first ad campaign Iman ever did was for Bottega Veneta in 2007 where she was photographed by Annie Leibowitz. During 2008, Iman starred on ad campaigns of Gap and Ralph Lauren. That same year, she was also photographed for a DKNY ad campaign. In 2011, Chanel Iman was chosen to be the face of DKNY Be Delicious fragrance.
As of 2010, Chanel Iman became a Victoria’s Secret Angel. She stunned on several ad campaigns for the sexy and prestigious lingerie label.
When Chanel Iman is not busy with her modeling career, she enjoys writing music. Once her days on the catwalks are over, she may surprise the world as a fine musician. One thing is certain – she is definitely going to be one of the most beautiful faces the music world has ever seen.
Apart from that, during the beginning of 2010, Iman opened a clothing boutique in California, called “The Red Bag”.
