Rocking the Runway
During her career, Rocha has collaborated with the world’s best fashion designers and brands. Her runway debut was at the 2006 Christian Lacroix couture show in Paris. Once she opened that show, she received dozens of offers from Chanel, Balenciaga, Vera Wang, D&G, Dior, Oscar de la Renta, John Galliano, Hermes, Giorgio Armani and many others.
Coco Rocha has featured as the muse of top designer Jean Paul Gaultier and top fashion photographer, Steven Meisel. In 2008, Rocha closed the Spring Gaultier show, while wearing an outfit reminiscent of the famous cone-bra worn by the queen of pop – Madonna. Another unforgettable outfit she strutted in was during the Fall 2009 Gaultier show. At that time, she was having a fur-clad mud fight alongside French actress Bojana Panic.
Rocha has established her own fashion brand named – Rococo. She debuted her first dress in 2010 at the Germany Awards.
Ad Star
Ad campaigns were major successes for Rocha. Her first campaign was in 2006 for Dolce & Gabbana, photographed by Steven Meisel who was responsible for many of Rocha's most famous poses. She starred on ad campaigns for Lanvin (2007), Balenciaga (2007), Chanel (2008), DeBeers (2009) and many others.
In addition, Rocha graced on several TV commercials, for brands like Rimmel (2010) and Coca Cola Light (2010).
Off the Runways
Coco Rocha is married to James Conran, and she is one of the few models who’s an activist against using anorectic models in the fashion industry. Off the catwalk, she enjoys Irish dancing.
