Rocking the Runway
Daphne Groenveld first stepped on a major catwalk in 2010, as she made her debut at the fall Emporio Armani show in Milan Fashion Week. The same season, Daphne also walked for Versus, Giorgio Armani, and Hogan. A short time afterwards, she modeled for Givenchy’s cruise collection in New York and Givenchy’s Couture presentation in Paris.
In the fall 2011 Fashion Week season the Dutch model truly became a star. She opened shows for top designers, including Herve Leger, Calvin Klein, Jason Wu, and Vera Wang. Groenveld closed for Roberto Cavalli, Emanuel Ungaro, and Rue de Mail, which is an honor designers save for their favorite model.
Throughout her career, Groenveld has graced the catwalks of many top designers and brands, including Marc Jacobs, John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Donna Karan, Lanvin, Fendi, Chanel, Prada, and Etro.
Cover Girl
The Dutch beauty has starred in many prominent editorials and covers. One of her most memorable cover appearances was when she was photographed alongside designer Tom Ford for the cover of French Vogue. At that point, Groenveld’s resume included only one year as a professional model, but it definitely had a great influence on her future career.
