When Hanne Gaby Odiele walked the runway for the first time, it was during the Spring 2005 Marc Jacobs Fashion Show. That same season, she also walked for Rodarte, Thakoon and Ruffian during New York Fashion Week.
The car accident she was involved in forced Odiele to skip Fall 2007 Fashion Week season. She only got back on the stages in October 2007, during the fashion shows of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Miu Miu and others. Throughout her fashion career Hanne Gaby Odiele graced on many catwalks, including the most prestigious ones such as Balenciaga, Dries van Noten, Prada, Calvin Klein, Valentino Couture, Givenchy, Gaultier and many others.
Her success on the runways and amazing personal recovering story have earned her lots of magazine covers and editorials. Hanne Gaby Odiele landed on the covers of A-list fashion magazines such as Vogue and W and posed for very talented photographers during editorial photo shoots.
Before Odiele was struck by a car in 2006, she was photographed for Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti and Topshop ad campaigns. The next year Odiele became the face of Vera Wang, and also modeled for Wang's Alice in Wonderland style campaign.
In 2008, she posed alongside supermodel Maryna Linchuk for the Mulberry ad campaign and also stunned on the DKNY Jeans ad campaign.
In 2009, David Sims photographed Hanne Gaby Odiele as one of the faces of Balenciaga. One year later, photographer Steven Meisel captured her for Alberta Ferretti's campaign.
Josh Jordan photographed Odiele for an Anna Sui campaign in 2011. The European model was chosen to be the face of the label that year.
When Hanne Gaby Odiele is not busy with her modeling career she likes to hang out with her friends, do some shopping and of course – visit her family.
