The Russian stunner officially started modeling at the age of 19. She began by working for several fashion brands in Paris, but in 2007, was offered the chance to feature in the iconic ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.’ Her appearance was hugely successful and resulted in the magazine’s editors choosing her to star in every annual edition of the magazine to date. In 2011, Shayk was chosen as the covergirl of the lads mag.
Photographers, editors, and fashion journalists cannot deny Shayk’s amazing figure, smooth complexion, and gorgeous smile. These assets have earned her numerous bookings for prestigious advertising campaigns. In 2007, she replaced Brazilian top model, Ana Beatriz Barros, as the new face of lingerie brand, Intimissimi. She has featured as the face of the brand for three years in a row, and in 2010 became an official ambassador for the label. She has also starred in an ad campaigns for Beach Bunny (2009), Guess? (2009), and others.
Shayk's most notable campaign was in 2010, when she modeled for Armani Exchange alongside world-class footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. The magic between them was clearly displayed on huge billboards around the world, and continued long after the photoshoot was over.
Since 2010, Shayk has been dating one of the hottest football superstars, Ronaldo, for years. She enjoys spending time with him and her lovely pet dog, which she named Caesare, after Julius Caesar.
