Jessica Stam runs a very successful modelling career. She has collaborated with top designers, opened and closed countless fashion shows and Marc Jacobs designed the “Jessica Bag” that became the fashion phenomena within a blink of an eye.
Miu Miu was the first label who gave Stam a chance and picked her to open its 2004 Fall show in Paris. The Canadian model took the chance, and even today refers to Miu Miu as the label that really boosted her career. Stam continued to climb up in the fashion industry, one step after another. Her efforts were fruitful and during Spring 2006 fashion week season, she was successfully casted for 64 runway shows. She walked for Marc Jacobs, Galliano, Gaultier, Armani, Valentino, Versace, Burberry and the list goes on.
Stam landed herself 3 times in the Victoria’s Secret annual show – in 2006, 2007 and also in 2010.
Top fashion photographer Steven Meisel deeply fell in love with Stam’s look when he first saw her. As a result, the professional photographer casted the young model for every campaign of his. As his muse, Meisel photographed Stam numerous times as well as for fashion magazine covers and editorials.
In 2003, Mario Testino photographed her for a Miu Miu campaign. Three years later, Jessica Stam was chosen to be the face of H&M and of Giorgio Armani’s Fall campaign. In 2007, she was chosen to be the sole face of Christian Dior and also the face of Bvlgari. The same year, Stam posed for Meisel once again during a photoshoot for Lanvin. During 2008, she replaced Agyness Deyn and become the face of Armani (along with Du Juan) and also did an ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana.
The Canadian beauty continued to sign fragrance contracts along her career. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographed her for Giorgio Armani’s “Onde” fragrance in 2008. One year later, Stam posed for Sebastian Kin during a photoshoot for Nina Ricci’s “Ricci Ricci” fragrance.
When she is not busy with her modelling career, Jessica Stam enjoys going to concerts, singing karaoke and listening to her favorite music. Off the stage, Jessica Stam is a young girl trying to live life to the fullest.
