Markey’s first runway moment was many years ago for a small brand called Line. But her real catwalk career began in 2010, and she has since walked the runway for Louis Vuitton, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Marni, Dior, Prada, Proenza Schouler, and Vanessa Bruno, amongst others. In 2011, Markey was counted as one of the most popular catwalk walkers and a year later has toted up nearly 60 catwalk appearances in New York, London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks for Spring 2013 collections.
To date, the youthful American beauty has featured in Italian fashion brand’s Suoli Spring 2012 video campaign. She has also made it to the front cover of the pre-Fall 2012 edition of i-D magazine, captured in a Gucci jacket with colorful powder on her face, alongside Tanzanian model, Herieth Paul.
If the self-confessed “t-shirt, jeans, and Dr. Martens kind of girl” wasn’t modeling, she would like to be an environmental engineer, she revealed in a recent interview. But still hot in demand, it looks like Markey’s going to be on the runways for many more years to come!
