Rocking the Runway
Kirsi Pyrhonen took her first steps on a professional runway when she was 17 years old. The Finnish model opened the Ann-Sophie Black show during London Fashion Week Fall 2010. At the same fashion week, she also opened and closed Christopher Kane's runway collection.
Models scouts couldn't ignore Pyrhonen's unique look and immediately booked her for the Prada fashion show as an exclusive during Milan Fashion Week. Following Milan Fashion Week Fall 2010, the young model also got a chance to present on the catwalks of Haider Ackermann, Loewe and Givenchy during Paris Fashion Week.
The next fashion week season was also very successful for Pyrhonen. She walked the Spring 2011 Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy, Balenciaga, Chloe and Hermes shows in New York and Paris fashion weeks.
Cover Girl
In 2010, just after Models.com featured her, the model got her first fashion magazine cover. In this fashion production, young Pyrhonen posed for Steven Meisel during a cover shoot for the Italian Vogue.
Five months later in October 2010, Pyrhonen was photographed by Sharif Hamza for the cover of Dazed & Confused. In December of that year, she was featured on the cover of Tush magazine.
At the beginning of 2011, she landed on her forth fashion magazine cover. This time it was the cover of the pre-spring edition of i-D magazine.
Fashion Forward
Kirsi Pyrhonen is one to watch on the catwalk. She’s had a successful career for just two years now, and it will be very interesting to see if she will grace the catwalks during the upcoming fashion week season. With cheekbones and gorgeous eyes like hers, it is almost a certainty that we will enjoy her presence on the catwalk for many more seasons to come.
