In 1999, Mariacarla Boscono debuted on the catwalk for designer greats Vivienne Westwood and Issey Miyake at Paris Fashion Week. A year later she graced the catwalks for Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Kenzo, travelling between Milan and Paris. During her career, Boscono has showcased at almost every prestigious fashion show both in Europe and the US. She has modeled ready-to-wear collections and haute couture for the world's most luxurious fashion brands.
Boscono is one of Karl Lagerfeld’s model favorites and has also acted as a muse for designer Riccardo Tisci for many of his creations.
Along with her triumph as a runway model, Boscono was also been pictured for countless fashion productions and advertising campaigns. She has been shot for the likes of Givenchy (1997), Chanel (2001), Calvin Klein (2001), Simply Vera by Vera Wang (2007), Dolce & Gabbana (2009), Lanvin (2010), Prada (2011), and many more.
In spite of her tiny figure, surprisingly one of Boscono's favorite hobbies is cooking. Other than that she practices yoga in her free time.
