NEW YORK - Sure, no one was more surprised than FashionTV when Liberty Ross, the British model who got caught up in the Kristen Stewart/Rubert Sanders/Robert Pattinson made her "so-called" modeling comeback when she appeared in the Alexander Wang show during New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013. But could the collection live up to last season when Gisele Bundchen made an unexpected return to close Wang's show? Liberty Ross was placed smack dab in the middle--and if you blink you almost miss her. Wang is prone to creating surprises on the runway. But did his collection live up to the model hype? This time around, Wang said he took out the structure and played up the volumes. Still, somehow the structure was still there, perhaps because it's Wang's signature, along with his personal take on futuristic style. Graphic panels and laser sliced skirts added to the ambiance and even the sportswear had a little bit of strict. And then came the finale where the lights were dimmed to reveal the clothes glow in the dark. If Wang wanted to make an impression, he certainly did...again.
