Backstage at AltaRomaAltaModa Fall/Winter 2012-13 with Delfrance Ribeiro

ROME - AltaRomaAltaModa is the fashion week in Rome where young fashion designers and emerging talents present their newest collections. Designer Delfrance Ribeiro gives models blunt bobs and powdery pale faces to highlight the detailed gowns in his Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection. The Brazilian designer was inspired by animal camouflage. Thirty models posed in gowns with voluminous shapes and luxe fabrics like organza and velvet sculpted on their waist. The dresses are patterned with flowers, birds, butterflies, and more to transform the dress. "It's about the flowers or the animals to transform," Ribeiro says of the looks. Sometimes you need to put a mask to do something you don't want to do, he says. "I translate into that." The collection is all parts classic and disco.
