LONDON - It was a regal inspired theme at the Bora Aksu Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show during London Fashion Week. Perhaps it was the crochet crowns the models adorned on their heads or the heavy vibrant colors used in the collection. The collection consisted of floating fabrics, floral prints, tattoo printed leggings and all that sheer fabric. Inspiration for the collection was derived from a 19th century Romanian Queen. Aksu incorporated many playful colors and light palettes of blue, dove greys, whites, gold, coral, purple and mustard yellow. Silhouettes included silk organza gowns, textural knitted tops and brocade skirts. Not many of the pieces were meant to flatter a woman's curves, but it was certainly all meant to embrace an air of regal and royal feel.
