First Face - Countdown! Fall/Winter 2012/13 - Top 10 Models at Fashion Week

WORLD - Each season, FashionTV has a countdown featuring the top 10 models that opened the most shows for that season. Why is it so important to be a First Face? A First Face is a model chosen to open a designer or brand's show, representing the image and style of his collection for that season. Her face, body, walk, and look is a symbol for the type of girl the designer wants to cater to for that period of time. In Fall/Winter 2012-2013, FashionTV's First Face countdown includes veterans like Karlie Kloss, Daria Strokous, Aymeline Valade, and Bette Franke. But it also has newcomers like Mackenzie Drazan, Marte Mei van Haaster, and Kati Nescher. Aymeline Valade was #1 on the First Face countdown for Spring/Summer 2012-2013. This season, German model Kati Nescher took the top spot after opening 12 shows which include Karl Lagerfeld-designed Fendi and Chanel as well as Oscar de la Renta and Versace. Other First Faces include Kasia Struss, Zuzanna Bijoch, and Arizona Muse.
