NEW YORK - FashionTV was front and center at the Herve Leger by Max Azria Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show during New York Fashion Week where models delivered the label's signature bandage dress style with sophistication and strength. Once again, the harnesses were there, but designer Max Azria was going for something a little bit different. Inspired by the quilts of Gee's Bend, a community in Alabama whose women have developed traditional patchworking, their influence gave way to the collection's stunning geometric and kaleidoscopic patterns. There were a variety of different necklines, hems and straps. The leather harnesses and heavy buckles kept the line tight and fitted. Colors such as sapphire blue, grey, black and ivory were seen all over the catwalk, not typical Spring hues, but strong and sexy indeed.
