NEW YORK - Jenny Packham has designed gowns for everyone from Angelina Jolie to the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. So of course, everyone in her audience was expecting red carpet gowns and princess dresses. Did Packham deliver? Yes, but in an over-the-top way. Over-the-top meaning glittery sequins, heavy embellishments and exaggerated paillettes. And when it wasn't, it was been-there-done-that polka dots and draped bows. We think Middleton might like it, but the average modern woman, not so much.
