She is known for making the "waif" look popular, particularly in Calvin Klein ads of the 90s. She was discovered by the founder of Storm Model Management in NYC in 1988 at 14 years old. Kate is known as the "anti-supermodel" of the 1990s. Among her friends are John Galliano and Alexander McQueen. She's walked the runway for Louis Vuitton and Alexander McQueen but has also perfected her own personal style and has designed clothes for retail brand Topshop.
