Lenny Kravitz & Philippe Starck: "Kartell Goes Rock" Furniture at Milan Design Week 2012

MILAN - Rocker Lenny Kravitz and design icon Philippe Starck have put together a furniture collection for Milan Design Week 2012 called Kartell Goes Rock. They unveil their collection at the Kartell flagship store in Milan. As Kravitz arrives in his signature aviators, the crowd goes wild. The project came out of a friendship between the two and the Kravitz design studio. The collection includes six "reinterpreted" mademoiselle chairs that were first designed by Starck for Kartell. Kravitz "reinterpreted" the seats by including new textures, textiles like fur, leather, and python, and worked with Starck to reimagine a whole new seating area.
